What's the Cost of Veneers?
Veneer Costs and Payment Options
The initial cost of veneers can seem prohibitive. However, our New Jersey dental clinics strive to make the cost as affordable as possible through these measures:
A Cost Range
We offer a wide range of pricing options to fit many budgets. New Jersey veneers patients can choose between several materials at varying price points, such as IPS e.max®, zirconia, and laminate.
Free Consultations
Many of our offices offer free consultations for select services so you can explore cosmetic dentistry without breaking the bank. We'll make honest recommendations and won't try to upsell you.
Dental Insurance
While all of our locations accept most major dental insurance plans, your benefits can only be applied to any preparatory services you need. Your insurance plan won't cover veneers.
Financing Options
We accept CareCredit® financing and can offer in-house financing for patients who qualify. These monthly payment plans can help you fit the cost of treatment into your budget.

Can Anyone Get Porcelain Veneers?
Anyone who wants to improve the look of their smile can benefit from dental veneers in New Jersey. However, a few factors are considered before a patient is approved for veneers.
Patients With Decay or Gum Disease
Patients need to be in good oral health before receiving veneers. Conditions such as decay or gum disease will need to be treated first, to create a healthy foundation for your veneers.
Patients With Enamel Erosion
Patients with worn teeth and enamel erosion can benefit from dental veneers, but other dentistry alternatives, such as dental bonding or dental crowns, might be a better fit to treat these cosmetic imperfections.
The Process of Applying Veneers
Your extraction consultation may be free, depending on the offers available at your local NÜVA Smile office.
Free Initial Consultation
If you think your smile could benefit from porcelain veneers, come into one of our offices for a free dental consultation. Our dentist will look at the state of your smile, ask about any goals you have, and come up with a plan to move forward. It costs nothing to explore dental options with us.
A new smile is never far: we have multiple locations in New Jersey and neighboring states.
Preparatory Treatment
To apply your veneers, your dentist will reshape your teeth, removing a tiny amount of enamel. This step will help the veneers lie flush with surrounding teeth and adhere more strongly to each tooth. At NÜVA Smile, we proudly use the WaterLase® laser to prepare patients' teeth. This device combines laser energy with a steady stream of water to remove hard tissue with minimal discomfort. The device is very efficient, so we can typically complete your initial treatment in an hour or less.
Taking Impressions
Applying the Veneers
Once the porcelain veneers are finished and you are completely satisfied with any minor adjustments, your dentist will use a mild solution to etch the surface of your teeth. This will allow for a strong bond with the porcelain. It will usually take just a few minutes for your dentist to attach the veneers to your teeth.
Take a Closer Look at the Process of Applying Veneers
Our dentists only remove a few millimeters of your tooth enamel so your veneers blend in with surrounding teeth without looking bulky. This process allows the natural tooth to stay healthy and strong while supporting the veneer.
Caring for Your Porcelain Veneers
Once your porcelain veneers are in place, you’ll get to enjoy immediate cosmetic benefits. With proper care, your veneers can last for a decade or longer. Here are some simple tips to help you make the most of your treatment:
Follow an Oral Hygiene Routine
Like any cosmetic dentistry treatment, veneers require a healthy foundation. Be sure to keep up with an oral hygiene routine that includes brushing your teeth at least twice a day, flossing once a day, and using mouthwash regularly to keep plaque and bacteria to a minimum. Visit our dentists twice a year for exams and cleanings.
Avoid Certain Foods
Biting into and chewing hard or sticky foods with teeth that have received veneers could damage your restorations or cause them to come out of place completely. Additionally, eating and drinking foods that stain may not affect your porcelain veneers, but they'll discolor your natural enamel over time, causing an unbalanced smile.
Be Mindful of Your Habits
Dental porcelain is fairly durable, but be sure not to place undue pressure on your teeth and veneers. We recommend trying to curb bad habits like nail-biting, chewing ice, and opening packages with your teeth, as they could cause your veneers to crack or come off. We also recommend avoiding nicotine products, as they can discolor your teeth.

Does Your Smile Need More Than Veneers?
Does achieving the smile of your dreams involve more than just veneers? Depending on your goals, we can combine veneers with any number of treatments to enhance all aspects of your smile. Here is a look at procedures that are commonly combined with veneers to achieve a comprehensive smile makeover:
Teeth Whitening
Do one or two teeth have flaws you would like to conceal? Do you feel like your entire smile could be enhanced by whitening after accumulating years of surface stains? By whitening your teeth and creating veneers to match the shade of your lightened teeth, you can achieve a powerful smile upgrade.
Gum Reshaping
Do you have excess gum tissue that makes your teeth look small or misshapen? We can gently remove small amounts of gum tissue to create a beautiful frame for your teeth. When combined with veneers, your smile can look symmetrical, healthy, and attractive.
Orthodontics
If your teeth are misaligned, undergoing orthodontic treatment such as Invisalign® and then using veneers to conceal chips and cracks can make your smile look both straighter and healthier, enhancing your entire appearance.
Dental Crowns
Veneers are a brilliant solution to minor imperfections, but what about a severely damaged tooth, or one that has a dramatically different size or shape than surrounding teeth? If you have some teeth with minor flaws and others in need of significant enhancement, our dentists can use both veneers and crowns to conceal all degrees of imperfection and give you an exciting boost in confidence.
We Also Offer Lumineers
In addition to porcelain dental veneers, we also offer Lumineers® for a minimally invasive option.
Traditional veneers remove a small amount of enamel from the front of your tooth for the shells to lay flat, creating the most natural-looking result. However, you can skip this preparatory step with Lumineers. With Lumineers, you can conceal cosmetic imperfections without any of your existing tooth structure being removed.
Benefits of Lumineers
While Lumineers can be more expensive than porcelain veneers, they have many benefits that make them an option worth considering:
Natural Look
Reversible Option
For patients concerned about the life-long commitment to dental veneers, Lumineers may be a more attractive cosmetic dentistry option. Since no tooth enamel is removed in the application process, Lumineers can be easily and safely removed if you decide you don't want them anymore.
Long-Lasting
Easy Application
Lumineers usually don't require any tooth material to be removed. This makes for easy application that can be done without any numbing anesthetic. Think of them as a more durable version of press-on nails, but for your teeth.

Prefer a Different Cosmetic Dentistry Option?
If you’re not a candidate for veneers or Lumineers, our NJ dental offices offer a range of other cosmetic dentistry services to help you achieve your goals. We can provide services like:

Teeth Whitening
If tooth stains and discoloration are your primary concern, you may not need veneers at all. We can administer teeth whitening, a less expensive and less invasive option that takes just one appointment. We also offer take-home kits so you can whiten your teeth on your schedule. However, it's important to note that some stains are deep within a tooth and won't respond to teeth whitening. A tooth with deep dental stains will require another type of treatment, like a veneer or dental bonding.

Dental Bonding
Dental bonding is a less expensive alternative to veneers that can conceal many of the same cosmetic concerns. This dentistry treatment uses composite resin to reshape teeth, fill tooth gaps, correct discoloration, and more. Many of our NJ patients receive dental bonding as a way to test out the look of veneers and determine if they want to commit to treatment. However, dental bonding doesn't last as long as veneers, often requiring touch-ups every 3-10 years.

Orthodontics
While a single misaligned tooth can be concealed with a veneer, if you have moderate to severe misalignment or bite concerns, we may recommend orthodontics to straighten all of your teeth. We have options like clear aligners, traditional braces, and FASTBRACES® so your orthodontic treatment can fit into your lifestyle and budget. Your orthodontic treatment can take anywhere from three months to several years to complete, depending on the severity of your misalignment and the treatment you choose.
FAQ About Veneers
Your consultation at one of our New Jersey offices is a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have about this cosmetic dentistry process.
What materials do you use?
Our cosmetic dentists offer IPS e.max, laminate, Lava™, and zirconia material options for your veneers. Each material ranges in price and features, which can help make veneers accessible to a wide range of budgets and dental needs.
Will veneers ruin my teeth?
Since our veneers are placed over the front of your teeth, only a small layer of enamel is removed. There’s no need to worry about pointy or shaved teeth with our safe and healthy veneer application process. However, it’s important to understand that while your teeth will remain healthy and structurally sound after receiving veneers, they will always require some kind of restoration to compensate for the reduced enamel.
How long do veneers last?
With good oral hygiene, veneers can last for over a decade, and Lumineers around 20 years. Both traditional dental veneers and Lumineers are cosmetic investments that can provide years of benefits.
Do veneers stay white?
